Teratai Design Studio
Founded by British trained architect Charlotte Louise Chambers, Teratai Design Studio creates elegant, affordable timber structures. Charlotte completed her Royal Institute of British Architects qualifications at The Bartlett, University College London, ranked the world’s top architecture school.
With over a decade of experience, Charlotte specialises in modular timber design and building information modeling and coordination. Her work bridges digital precision and hands on building, shaped by her time at Waugh Thistleton Architects, global pioneers in mass timber, and by grassroots projects across the world.
Teratai Design Studio is a focused, intentionally small studio. Each project is personally led by Charlotte and supported by a flexible, remote team. The mission is to make architecture more accessible.
Charlotte shares her design ethos through online resources and downloadable modular house systems, expanding access to adaptable, sustainable design and helping turn ideas into buildable realities that connect people with place and purpose.
